1. What makes No Slippy Hair Clippy® different?

We invented the no slip hair clip, so we understand the need for this product better than anyone. Our clips are completely finished in plush Swiss velvet, which makes them soft on a child's head, with a luxurious look and feel, and keeps them secure in their hair. No other company's product compares.

3. Are you aware that other companies name their clips after girls, too?

Of course we are. There are so many cute babies, that we decided to name our clips after them right from the start. It seems that there are a lot of imitators out there now!

4. Do you use a magnet?

We used to. Our clip was invented with a magnet, because of the superior hold. Now we use an expensive velvet without the magnet to achieve the same secure grip in fine hair.

5.Which type of clip should I choose for my little girl?

Each No Slippy clip we offer is fully-lined in Swiss Velvet for a soft yet secure hold, even on just a few strands of hair!

We offer 3 types of clips in the No Slippy line:

  • 1-1/4” Mini Clip

    • A smaller version of our Pinch Clip, designed specifically for infants and babies with less hair. Fully lined with extra-plush Swiss velvet. It has a similar design to our Pinch Clip, but with a slight curvature which helps hold the hair.

  • 1-3/4” Pinch Clip (Standard)

    • Our signature 1 ¾” clip for all ages, fully lined in with extra-plush Swiss velvet. It has a superb hold in any type of hair.

  • 2-3/8” French Clip

    • Perfect for girls, teens, and women with more hair! A Velvet center wrap in the middle of the clasp keeps the clip snug and secure. Supports large flowers easily.

6. What are Clipettes™?

This is a value line of hair accessories by No Slippy®. Like their parent, they are completely finished and they stay in place. We accomplish this with a grosgrain wrap instead of velvet, and we add a non-slip strip to the clip.

7. What if my headband doesn't fit?

Our headbands are sized in ranges according to age. This is usually quite accurate. If your headband doesn’t fit, simply return it within 5 days for an exchange.

8. Why don't you offer snap clips?

Two reasons. Have you ever tried to put a snap clip on a baby who was moving all around? Second, you have to put a lot of force on a child’s head to engage the snap, and this runs contrary to our child-friendly company philosophy.

9. Do your bows fray at the ends?

No! Our bows are heat sealed.

10. Do you have a catalog?

Our online store is our consumer catalog. Retail stores with tax ID and accreditation can request a wholesale catalog through the wholesale link.

11. What type of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express, as well as prepaid checks, money orders, and Paypal.

12. What is your return policy?

No Slippy Hair Clippy accepts returns and exchanges for items purchased via its Web site within 5 days of receipt of shipment. No item will be accepted that is not in its original condition. A return authorization is needed for this transaction, see below for details.

No Slippy Hair Clippy will refund the entire amount of the original purchase price, return shipping not included. Ship all returns pre-paid and insured. We will refund your credit card within one week of receipt.

Returns will only be made for items that can be verified to have been purchased through our Web site. Customers who have created an account can request a return by logging in and hitting the “Return Items” button while viewing their Completed Orders. Those customers who do not have an account can contact the company for a return authorization number at 800-466-7304 Mon-Fri 9-5 PST, or email info@hairclippy.com . We will not accept returns or exchanges for items without a receipt from our shopping cart. A copy of the invoice or gift receipt that accompanied your Web order must be included with returns or exchanges. There are no exceptions to this policy.

**NOTE: NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES FOR “Retired Styles” OR “Mystery Pack” ITEMS, or any item designated “non-refundable” on the site.

13. Can I order over the phone?

Certainly. Our customer service department is available to help you from 9am to 5pm PST, Monday through Friday. Please call us at 800-466-7304.

14. What is your privacy policy?

We do not give out your information to anyone for any reason, nor do we keep your credit card information.

15. When will my order ship?

Generally speaking, your order ships within 48 hours. If something is out of stock, we will contact you immediately for your direction about how to process the order.

Tracking for this service is not available; however, USPS provides delivery confirmation: date and time of delivery or attempted delivery. 20. Do you offer insurance?

Yes, you have the option of insuring your order during the checkout process.

Delivery of all uninsured packages sent via USPS is not guaranteed and will not be replaced if the Post Office confirms delivery.

21. Which "side" option should I choose?

 Many of our clips are directional, which means they can only be worn on one side of the head (otherwise they would be upside-down!).  The “Side” option is offered to provide you a choice of which side of the head the clip will be handmade for.


“Standard Right” is the option that No Slippy® has always offered.  A “Standard Right” clip is worn on the right side of the wearer’s head.

 

A “Left” side clip is worn on the wearer’s left side.

 

A “L/R Pair” is our Left & Right Pair option.  The choice of “L/R Pair” will automatically put one “Left” and one “Right” clip into your shopping cart.

22. How should I care for my Hair Clippys?

Each one of our clips is hand made and checked for quality before it is shipped. You can expect them to last for a long time if they are cared for like any accessory which you would put away after use. We send along a strip for you to hang them on for this reason.

SPECIAL NOTE: Take precautions to avoid getting them wet. We use a water-based kiddie-safe non-toxic glue to attach the velvet or grosgrain ribbon. This glue can dissolve if you put them on a wet sink for instance. We feel that of all the adhesives available, it is still better to use products which are safe for children in our hair clips.
